DEPT. PERIODONTOLOGY & ORAL IMPLANTOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

Department of periodontology deals with the disease affecting the supporting tissues of the teeth (i.e., gingiva, periodontal ligament,bone and cementum)and theraupetic procedures of the disease.

FACILITIES

 

  • Fully fuctioning, well equiped with 34 dental chairs
  • Minor ot, attached to a sterilization room
  • Vip clinic with advanced equipment like implant kits, lasers and elactrocautery units

  • Students will be trained to perform scaling on models as well as patient from iii bds
  • Assessement of patients casts to improve practical knowledge to the students and help in dignosis and treatment planning
  • During internship and final year students will be trained to assist minor surgical procedures (flap)
  • Clinically both regenerative (grafting) and peridontal esthetic procedures are performed routinely in the department
